I play guitar, bass guitar, Ukulele, and hack around on a Novax Charlie Hunter 8-String guitar/bass. I attended Musicians Technical Institute of Minneapolis (now called McNally/Smith) and focused primarily on Jazz Guitar Performance. After graduating school, I started teaching guitar lessons and realized pretty quickly that music was not going to be my primary career for my entire life. I still play lots of music and perform live from time to time.
Music has been part of my life since I was a child. I started playing guitar seriously at 14 years old and I was immediately bit by the bug. I was at my neighbor’s house and he showed me how to play Master of Puppets. I borrowed a guitar from my uncle, until I could get my own and I got right to work. My mom must have hated listening to me play Smoke on the Water, Master of Puppets, and Sweet Child O’Mine countless times over those months.
Over the years I’ve played in bands ranging many different styles: Rock, Top 40, Jazz, Country, and Hip-Hop just off the top of my head. I’ve played in venues all over the country and shared the stage with some amazing musicians.
I consider myself very fortunate to be able to have studied with some of the greatest musicians in the world including:
Emmanuel “Eman” Kiriakou
Here are some videos from different projects over the years:
SellOutStereo (Top 40 band covering everything from Snoop Dog to Guns N’ Roses)
Smokey Bogart (Original Folk/Hop band from Minneapolis)
Richie Fields and Big Time Country (Top 40 Country band that plays all over the Mid-Atlantic region)
